How long have you attended New Hope Church?
7 years (since May 2014)

What ministries / leadership roles are you involved in at New Hope?
My husband Mike and I are Life Group Leaders and we are also greeters on the hospitality team.  We love to see families and college students as they come in for worship, and also greet newcomers to start new connections.

What excites you as you think about the opportunities New Hope will have because of our new building?
I am super excited to have  space in our new building to possibly have support groups or special group classes/Bible studies for Life Choice Ministries’ clients and single moms in general. Having a safe space to provide childcare at the same location will open up doors for moms that aren’t able to participate otherwise. Also having a building to host events for international students will not only provide more opportunities to share Jesus, but also will open the door for New Hope members to more easily engage in international student ministry. It’s exciting to think about utilizing the space inside AND outside in planning activities and events that will encourage building friendships and opportunities for deeper relationships for the purpose of making Christ known.

How do you think the building will increase our ability to pursue relationships that change the world?
I honestly look at our building as something God will use to create a ripple effect. As we provide a welcoming space and explore creative ways to do ministry and build deeper relationships,  people will be better equipped as they move on from Manhattan, to continue sharing the love of Christ and investing in others, who in turn will do the same, and so on.

What do you love about New Hope?
I absolutely love the diverse age groups at New Hope!  I love how amazing New Hope people are at serving so readily and humbly. I also love that we are a sending body - that we send and continue to care for and support those who are reaching the nations for Christ.

Why are you excited to be a part of giving towards the worship center campaign?
I’m excited to partner with God in the future work He has planned for New Hope and Manhattan. Investing in the kingdom by providing a space that opens up doors for not only ministry to people, but a space that can be used to engage our minds and challenge our thinking as we prepare to live and lead the culture.

Is there anything else you want to share?
I do think that having our own building will encourage more of a sabbath rest on Sundays. The set up and tear down won’t be as laborious and will lend to a more restful day of worship.

Are there specific dreams you have for the future?
I would love to have New Hope start a support group for women experiencing challenging pregnancies. While Life Choice is a great resource and support, I would love to have the local church body be involved in loving and walking with women. Embrace Grace is a church based support group. Having a building to provide space for this would be amazing. I would also LOVE to have regular events for internationals to come, have fun, feel welcome AND experience Jesus through people at New Hope. Game nights, Thanksgiving, Easter, birthday celebrations, baby celebrations, graduation celebrations, etc.
