Staff Biographies
Get to know our staff. Here are the photos and biographies of each of the New Hope Church staff members.
Todd Stewart
Pastor of Community and Leadership Development
Todd joined the New Hope staff in the summer of 2004. He and his wife Jennifer grew up in Kansas and they both attended KSU. They have 3 boys – Dawson, Micah, and Noah. Todd graduated with an education degree in December 1996, and is currently pursuing a Master’s of Divinity at Midwestern Baptist Seminary.
Prior to joining the New Hope staff, Todd was the director of Crosswalk Ministries at The Ohio State University. He also served as a missionary for 2 years in East Asia, and for 2 years on the KSU Christian Challenge staff. As of fall 2007, Todd oversees New Hope staff and serves as New Hope's lead elder developing and overseeing the implementation of New Hope's vision to become a LIFE Group movement locally and globally.
Ben Deaver
Director of International Ministries
Ben joined the New Hope staff in June of 2006. Both he and his wife, Maris, graduated from KSU in May of 2004.
Prior to his position at New Hope, Ben worked with a collegiate ministry, the Navigators, at Kansas State for two years. Ben and Maris are excited to help the New Hope community share their lives and the good news of Jesus Christ with the many internationals that reside in Manhattan. Ben's main focus is to inform, equip, and connect the New Hope community with the international community in Manhattan. He also serves on the board of Helping International Students. Ben is director of the ACMI 2010 national conference coming to Manhattan next May 27-29. He graduated from Emmanuel Household Seminary in May of 2009 and is the proud father of Kate Corinn.
Dave Geldart
Administrator
Dave began serving as Administrator in June of 2008. He works full time in the church office processing financial information, coordinating communications with visitors, members, and friends of New Hope, and overseas New Hope's facilities. In addition to managing the church office, Dave currently serves as Treasurer.
Dave started coming to New Hope soon after moving to Manhattan to go to KSU in 2001. He graduated KSU with a Bachelors in Business Administration. Dave then attended Emmanuel House Seminary and where he earned his Masters of Divinity. He is married to his beautiful wife Jenn. Dave enjoys reading (Harry Potter, Tolkien, Lewis, Crichton...) playing guitar, and recording/mixing. His current favorite bands are Mae, Sherwood, Relient K, David Crowder Band, and John Mayer.
