Closing commands to those seeking to stand firm together while under fire.
Philippians 4:1-9
 
Stand firm in the Lord
1:27
“Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then,…I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel without being frightened…”
4:1
“Therefore, my brothers, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, so stand in the Lord, dear friends.”
 
Help others be one in the Lord
4:2-3
“I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to agree with each other in the Lord. Yes, and I ask you loyal yokefellow, help these women who have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.”
 
Rejoice in the Lord
4:4
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”
 
Display gentleness in response
4:5
“Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.”
 
Don’t be anxious, but pray
4:6-7
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
 
Set your mind on things from the Lord
4:8-9a
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is awe inspiring, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is well spoken of—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—consider these things, which things also you learned and received and heard and saw in me – …”
